Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) has expanded its electrified vehicle lineup with the launch of the new STARIA Hybrid. Starting at PHP1,999,000, the premium people mover combines hybrid performance, advanced connectivity, enhanced comfort, and flexible interior space, while delivering a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 17.7km/L. It joins Hyundai’s growing range of hybrid models while complementing the existing STARIA lineup.

Updated design with a stronger road presence

The new STARIA Hybrid receives several exterior updates that further distinguish its futuristic design. New 18-inch alloy wheels, a redesigned front grille, and cube projection LED headlamps give the premium van a more commanding appearance while preserving the spacious cabin that has become one of the STARIA’s defining characteristics.

First Hyundai model in the Philippines with Bluelink

The STARIA Hybrid also becomes the first Hyundai vehicle in the Philippines to feature Bluelink, the brand’s connected car platform.

Through Hyundai Live Services, owners can receive real-time traffic and weather information directly through the infotainment system without relying on smartphone tethering. Updated every two minutes, the service helps drivers plan safer and more efficient journeys.

The system also supports online voice recognition for sending and receiving text messages while driving. Beyond navigation and communication, Bluelink enables remote access to vehicle functions including climate control, door locks, the horn, and lights. Owners can also monitor vehicle status, diagnostics, and health reports through the connected platform.

A smarter and more versatile cabin

Inside, Hyundai has upgraded the STARIA Hybrid with a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, USB Type-C charging ports for front and rear passengers, and a wireless charging pad.

Comfort is further enhanced by a steering column-mounted Shift-by-Wire selector that frees up cabin space, power seats with lumbar support, heated and ventilated seating, and a dual power tilt sunroof.

Hyundai has also expanded the vehicle’s versatility. The nine-seater variant is now available with a three-row seating configuration, while the seven-seater variant gains extended seat rails that allow owners to prioritize either passenger comfort or additional cargo space depending on their needs.

Complementing the hybrid powertrain are Hyundai-exclusive technologies such as e-Handling, which improves cornering stability, and e-Ride, which enhances ride comfort over speed bumps and during rapid acceleration for greater control in different driving situations.

Safety for every journey

The new STARIA Hybrid is equipped with Hyundai SmartSense, the brand’s suite of advanced driver assistance technologies.

New safety features include Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Side Parking Distance Warning, helping drivers maintain greater awareness during daily driving and parking maneuvers. Six airbags are also fitted throughout the cabin to further enhance occupant protection.

According to Jiho Son, president of Hyundai Motor Philippines, the STARIA Hybrid completes Hyundai’s hybrid lineup while building on the legacy established by the STAREX.

“The STARIA is one of the most iconic nameplates in our current lineup, completing our Hybrid range while carrying a legacy Filipinos trust. Building on the STAREX’s role in family life, we are proud to be launching the STARIA Hybrid which brings a more connected, comfortable experience for modern and practical Filipino families.”
