Tesla’s newest Philippine offering isn’t a flagship performance car. It’s a practical, three-row family SUV. The Model Y L is a 6-seater version of the already-popular Model Y, designed to fit the kind of life many Filipino families actually lead: school runs, weekend road trips, golf outings, and enough cargo space to handle all of the above at once. Less than a month after the order site went live, the first units were already delivered, a pace that signals Tesla is serious about making EV ownership in the Philippines less of a waiting game.
What the Model Y L Offers
The Model Y L adds a third row to the Model Y’s already spacious cabin, bringing total seating to six. The flexible layout accommodates both passengers and cargo, and Tesla specifically calls out space for multiple golf bags, a pointed nod to a segment of Filipino buyers for whom that detail genuinely matters. The expanded interior keeps the ride comfortable for city driving while giving families enough room to make it a legitimate road-trip vehicle.
Every new Tesla vehicle in the Philippines comes with one year of comprehensive insurance.
Fast Delivery and Ready Inventory
One of the more practical appeals of the Model Y L right now is delivery speed. Tesla has listed a select number of vehicles on its online inventory page, allowing buyers to skip the standard build-to-order wait and take delivery significantly faster. Interested buyers can browse available units at tesla.com/en_PH/inventory/new/my.
At the same time, Tesla is also ramping up its delivery capacity to address increasing demand.
Charging: What’s Available Now
Tesla currently operates 4 Supercharging stations with 16 Superchargers and 6 Destination Charging stations with 24 Wall Connectors across the Philippines. The company describes its charging rates as the lowest in the EV market locally, and the plug-and-charge setup means no separate apps or authentication steps beyond the Tesla account.
The network is still growing, which is worth noting for buyers outside Metro Manila, but the existing footprint covers the most traveled corridors and is actively expanding.
Where to See It in Person
Test drives are available at two locations: Tesla Center BGC and the Tesla pop-up at Alabang Town Center (in front of Kiwami). Both locations offer hands-on time with the vehicle, which is the most practical way to evaluate whether the third row, interior layout, and ride quality work for your household.
