Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray was a picture of “happiness” at the “Petals & Poetry” event marking the launch of Studio Haydee Garcia’s Ready-to-Wear Spring 2026 collection.

Asked about the current status of her love life, she declared, “Love life is for me lang. Yeah, I’m happy. I’m doing well.”

One of the reporters mentioned the name of her “rumored boyfriend,” and she simply answered, “I’m happy. That’s all I’m gonna say.”

It can be recalled that Sam Milby, Catriona’s former partner, confirmed in a February 2025 interview that they had separated after getting engaged in 2023.

Nonetheless, she is open to working with her ex-beau if it’s a “good project.”

“Siguro if it’s a good project, and it’s a project fit for me, I think that’s the consideration,” said she.

Catriona recently appeared in Irene Emma Villamor’s “The Loved One,” starring Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales. “I’m very grateful for the feedback (about her acting). Grateful to be a part of a project that’s done so well,” she said about the movie, adding that she would love to act in an action genre flick in the future.

Aside from “The Loved One,” Catriona shared that she will star in another movie, although she did not provide further details about the project.

Clad in a dark blue gown, Catriona takes to the runway as the face of Studio Haydee Garcia during the event held in BGC, Taguig City.

“Yes, I have a movie in the works,” she confirmed. “I cannot spluk it yet because it’s in the early stages. But I’m very excited about that.”

On what fans can expect from her upcoming projects, she shared that she has a ready-to-wear collection that she co-designed, and she is currently working on some music. “Yeah, just a lot of different things. So, maybe you’ll just follow me on my socials to keep up.”

Meanwhile, Catriona expressed her excitement for the Philippine representative, Bea Millan-Windorski, who will compete in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in November in Puerto Rico.

“I’m very excited for her journey. I think she’s going to do really well. And I’m excited to see how it unfolds,” the former Miss Universe titleholder said.

“I mean, it’s hard to say because we don’t... Well, honestly, as a fan, I don’t know what they’re looking for in Miss Universe. Before, I thought it was very important to be a spokesperson. But I feel like they’re really emphasizing the importance of a certain look. So, I don’t know,” she told The STAR when asked about the chances of Bea bringing home the fifth Miss Universe crown for the country.

“I mean, if it were up to me as a judge, I think she’d do really well. She speaks very well. She’s very statuesque. I think she’s a great representative for the Philippines. But again, it’s in the hands of the judges and of the org. So, if it were fair judging, I think she’d do very, very well.”

Former Miss Universe Catriona Gray is all smiles as she leads young fashion designer Haydee Garcia’s first-ever fashion show ‘Petals & Poetry.’

During the first runway show of Haydee’s Ready-to-Wear Spring 2026 collection, Catriona wore a dark blue gown, which she also showcased during her catwalk. Socialite-vlogger Small Laude was also among the attendees.

“I feel very beautiful in this piece by Haydee Garcia, and it was a beautiful collection,” Catriona beamed. “It’s very me when I think about it because I really gravitate towards feminine and romantic silhouettes. I consider myself a girly girl. I love bows. I love sparkles. So, this collection was very me.”

Studio Haydee Garcia chose Catriona as the face of the fashion studio because she embodies the brand’s “elegance, confidence and grace.”

As Haydee explained, “We wanted our finale to feel powerful yet timeless, and Catriona naturally brings that kind of presence on the runway.

“We (also) chose Small because she brings warmth, personality and effortless luxury all at the same time. We wanted the finale to feel celebratory and relatable, and Small has this natural charm that connects so well with people,” she added.

The studio is set to open its new branch at Proscenium, Rockwell in Makati.

“The vision behind Haydee Garcia Atelier has always been simple — I wanted to create a space where women can feel beautiful, confident and celebrated through fashion. For me, it’s never just about making gowns. It’s really about creating pieces that hold memories and emotions. I want every client to feel special the moment they wear a Haydee Garcia piece,” founders Haydee and Mary Grace Chu remarked in a statement.
