TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd will greet Jakarta fans with two-day concerts at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in the capital's north on September 26-27, 2026. The concerts are part of the Asian leg of his "After Hours Til Dawn" stadium tour.
The Jakarta stadium is gearing up to host the megastar behind the hit singles 'Blinding Lights' and 'Save Your Tears.'
"These preparations are aimed at ensuring the smooth running, safety, and comfort of the audience from their journey to the stadium area to entering the venue," said Shinta Syamsul Arief, Head of SBU Jakarta International Stadium in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Authorities are also taking into account the accessibility of the stadium. Several modes of transportation are available for concertgoers seeking to enter the Jakarta International Stadium, including Commuter Line, TransJakarta, shuttle buses, and private vehicles.
How to Reach JIS for The Weeknd's Concert
According to Shinta, fans of The Weeknd will be able to reach the stadium through several pathways based on their preferred modes of transportation. She also urged concertgoers to arrive early and heed the information shared by officers present at the venue.
Here is some of the available access to JIS for The Weeknd's concert, as shared by Shinta, quoting Antara:
1. Commuter Line
Concertgoers who are planning to use Commuter Line as their chosen transportation to reach JIS are directed to disembark at JIS Station.
However, Shinta warned that the pedestrian bridge between JIS Station and JIS will be temporarily closed during the concert.
But worry not, as shuttle buses are available to take The Weeknd fans to meet their idol from the station. Officers on duty will help direct concertgoers from the station and the shuttle bus point to ensure an orderly and smooth journey.
Ride-hailing services are also available for fans to reach the concert venue.
2. Private Vehicles
Fans using private vehicles are encouraged to park their vehicles in the Ancol area and use the available shuttle buses to reach JPO Bersama BTN to reach the JIS area.
"This scheme is designed to reduce traffic congestion around the stadium while maintaining smooth audience mobility," said Shinta.
To enter from the Ancol area, attendees simply need to show their wristband or proof of purchase of The Weeknd concert ticket to the staff.
By presenting this proof, attendees will be charged an entrance fee of Rp35,000, in accordance with applicable regulations. There will no longer be a per-person entry fee, as the access mechanism has been adjusted to require proof of concert ticket ownership.
3. TransJakarta
TransJakarta is also available for The Weeknd's fans, with access through the stadium's West Gate.
Concert attendees are advised to follow the instructions and directions of the staff to the entrance appropriate to their respective ticket category.
For Festival ticket holders, there's no need to enter through the West Gate. Fans will be directed to the South Gate by officers on duty.
After the concert in Jakarta, the Weeknd will head to Singapore for a two-day show in early October. Abel Tesfaye's gig in Asia will conclude in November with a singular concert in Kuala Lumpur's TM Stadium National.
